Apple iPad mini (7th Generation)
The best small tablet — 8.3-inch display, A17 Pro chip, and Apple Pencil Pro support in a pocketable size.
Our Review
The iPad mini is for people who think regular tablets are too big. The 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display fits in a jacket pocket or small bag while still delivering the full iPad experience. The A17 Pro chip (same as iPhone 15 Pro) provides more than enough power for any app, and Apple Pencil Pro support makes it a capable note-taking device. It's the preferred tablet for pilots (fits cockpit mounts), doctors (fits lab coat pockets), and readers (best e-reader with color). At $499, it's not cheap, but nothing else offers this much capability in this small a form factor.
